FUCK YOU, that's why. ![]() I’ve been avoiding any and all threads should there be a reveal or two like who the final boss is. I’m curious if there are any big plot events in the second half of the game. I am sort of worried though, once I max out the candles, am I going to just steamroll every single encounter? Darkest Dungeon 1 was kind of like this with the hamlet managing so I guess it’s just a new coat of paint on the same systems. When you begin, you have basically no back rank damage or control at all and have to grind hero shrines to unlock the abilities needed to finally hit ranks 3 and 4, which makes several bosses nearly unbeatable. However I am in an odd place width the metagame. I have enjoyed relationships so far and seeing my amorous highwayman/hellion pair nuke enemies for big damage is great. The hero shrines are good additions to the backstory of each hero. No more whiffing 3 attacks in a row with a 95% chance to hit. Moment to moment combat is great with how the tokens work. I think the art and sound design is fantastic. I only just made it to the lungs last night. ![]()
